Growing & Developing

April 16, 2019

Hello everyone!

I first need to apologize for the delay in updating all of you. I promise I have a good and very

cute excuse! His name is Johnny and he is growing more every day. I want to thank all of you for your prayers, support, and giving during this time of adjustment into parenthood. Grace and I could not do this without you.

It has been an interesting season for Grace and me. As we watch Johnny grow every day, it is

amazing to see us grow as parents too. Not only grow as parents, but also children of God. Daily, I’m reminded of how important it is for me to lean in on my relationship with Christ as one of his children. Caring for my son, and sometimes being overwhelmed by the transition and unknown obstacles, I can see God more clearly as our caring father and I constantly ask him for help and guidance. I want to challenge all of us to look where we are, our ministry, workplace, or family environment, and remember that each of us are a child of God and can lean into Him for guidance and wisdom in all aspects of life.

In this new season of ministry God has blessed me to truly see his calling and development in my life as a minister/church planter. I’ve had the opportunity to receive training on multiplication with our Baptist State Convention (BRN: Pennsylvania & South Jersey). I have been able to take some of that training plus other material we use at Riverbend Community Church and help develop our own church planters from the Riverbend Network. At the same time, myself and the leadership at Riverbend Community Church are evaluating our leadership pipeline as we continue to see massive growth in our church. Recently, Grace and I have corresponded with people who a few years ago had never read scripture and now claim a relationship with Jesus Christ! This is all very exciting, not only in the growth of the gospel, but also having the opportunity to build new discipleship systems. I will ask that you continue to pray for our church family and leadership team as this growth is exciting and encouraging but can also become overwhelming with the volume of reaching so many people in so many different ministries.

As a personal request, please be praying for Johnny and us as we continue to transition as a

family every day! I am beginning the process of scheduling an update trip possibly this summer and planning that with a little one will take a bit of creativity. Thank you all for your support and love!
